Trust Moves Tours
Why House of Tours Global Chose Logicall
By Stu Phillips
People often ask me why House of Tours Global partnered with Logicall. The simple answer is...Because they're not "just another freight forwarder."
Let me explain.
After nearly forty years working in the music touring industry, I've worked with just about every type of supplier you can imagine.
Freight companies. Bus companies. Trucking companies. Carnet specialists. Customs brokers. Airlines. Charter operators. Backline companies. Production suppliers.
Most of them are very good at what they do. But there's always been one problem.
They're all looking after their part of the tour. Very few people are looking at the whole picture.
Touring Isn't About Moving Boxes
One of the biggest misconceptions people have about touring is that logistics is simply moving equipment from one venue to another.
It isn't.
You're moving somebody's livelihood. You're moving a production that hundreds of people have spent months preparing. You're moving equipment that has to be in exactly the right place, at exactly the right time, every single day.
When the venue doors open, nobody in the audience cares how complicated the logistics were. They just expect the show to happen. That's the pressure Tour Managers and Production Managers live with every day.
One Call Gets It All
Years ago, I came up with the phrase...One Call Gets It All.
It wasn't a marketing slogan. It came from years of my own experience and watching other Tour Managers spend half their lives trying to coordinate dozens of different suppliers.
One company handling freight and logistics. Another is looking after the ground transport. Someone else is dealing with carnets & customs. Another booking hotels and flights. Another arranging visas, and another sourcing equipment….the list of suppliers and service providers is endless. Everyone was in their own silo. The problem was that the Tour and/or Production Manager was left trying to join all the dots.
I've always believed there had to be a better way.
Logicall
When I first started talking to Logicall, something immediately struck me. They weren't talking about just freight. They were talking about solutions. They were talking about integrating services.
Visibility. Technology. Data. Real-time tracking. Customs. Warehousing. Road transport. Air freight. Ocean freight. Customer portals.
One point of contact. One team. One solution.
It immediately resonated with me because that's exactly how I believe touring should work.
Logicall has spent years building an organisation that combines freight forwarding, customs, warehousing, road transport, parcel logistics and digital supply chain technology into one integrated business. Rather than simply moving shipments, their focus is on giving customers visibility, control and confidence throughout the entire logistics process.
Why That Matters To Touring
Music touring doesn't operate like traditional logistics. Tours change overnight. Schedules move. Flights get cancelled. Weather intervenes. Equipment gets held in customs. Venues change load-in times. Sometimes an entire production has to be rerouted at a few hours' notice. That's where experience becomes invaluable.
Having access to a global logistics network is one thing. Having a partner that understands urgency, time-critical movements, and complex international operations is something else entirely.
Logicall's Touring & Events division has been built specifically around those challenges, providing dedicated support for live productions, festivals and international touring with a single point of contact backed by a global logistics network.
Technology Is Changing Logistics
One thing that's become very clear over the last few years is that logistics isn't just about trucks and aircraft anymore.
Technology now plays a huge part in keeping tours moving. Real-time shipment visibility. Digital customs processes. Integrated customer portals. Data-driven decision making. Live tracking. These aren't "nice to have" features anymore. They're becoming essential.
The more information a Tour Manager has, the quicker they can make decisions when something unexpected happens.
Logicall has invested heavily in this area, developing digital platforms and customer portals that provide real-time insight into shipments and supply chains. That gives clients greater visibility and control, something that is becoming increasingly important in today's fast-moving touring environment.
A Partnership That Makes Sense
The more we talked, the more obvious it became. House of Tours Global and Logicall weren't trying to do the same thing. We were solving different parts of the same problem.
House of Tours Global brings decades of real-world touring experience. We've lived the pressure. We've sat on the tour bus at three in the morning trying to solve problems before anyone else even knew they existed.
We understand artists. Managers. Promoters. Production teams.
Logicall brings something equally important.
International infrastructure. Freight forwarding. Customs expertise. Warehousing. Road transport. Technology. Digital visibility. Operational scale.
Together, that creates something far more valuable than a freight service. It creates a partnership where touring knowledge and logistics expertise work hand in hand.
In fact, Logicall has publicly recognised this approach by establishing its dedicated Music Touring Department in partnership with House of Tours Global, combining Logicall's global logistics capability with our "One Call Gets It All" philosophy.
Looking Ahead
The touring industry continues to evolve. Costs are increasing. International regulations are changing. Technology is advancing. Artists are looking for partners who can simplify an increasingly complicated world.
But one thing hasn't changed in all the years I've been involved. People still do business with people. Relationships still matter. Trust still matters. Experience still matters.
At House of Tours Global, that's exactly what we're continuing to build.
Not just another supplier. A trusted partner.
One that understands the realities of life on the road and has the right people and the right infrastructure behind it to deliver.
Because that's what touring has always been about.
Getting the show on the road.
Every single time.
